Patch v.0.4 - What to expect


Hello all, Boise here.

So, I know I said there would we were aiming for a february release for the next patch, but, well, I've finally been able to run more playtests and, well, this is going to be another "pretty much everything in this homebrew is going to be changed and/or tweaked somehow". As such, we're designating this as "Update v.0.4", which will contain bug fixes along with some pretty sweeping changes for certain elements of the content pack.

While this isn't an extensive list, what we're looking at is:

  • Ensuring that Scarab's license gear is not so overwhelmingly powerful when combined with another Overshield-focused frame (such as the Emperor) that it breaks encounters.
  • Making Shieldbearer 3 less chance-based and more interesting as a talent choice.
  • The Ghost Mantis is getting a rework due to it being, in almost every sense of the word, absolutely broken.
  • The Padrino (Hercules III superheavy) is getting a rework to make it more viable for its charged profile.
  • The Cicada is also getting a slight rework/tweak to refine its traits along with make its core less "feelsbad".

When will this be done? I wish I could give an end date, but I'm hoping for sometime at least this spring. It really depends on how much Thief and I can do regarding making changes and then testing said changes.
